End of Year Review - 2021/2022

Writer: Niki LavinNiki Lavin

We had some really great adventures during the 2021/2022 school year. And we really got into a grove with our at home items. It really shaped up to be one of our best school years yet! Here are some of the highlights:

For our "at home" homeschool, we spend the year doing some experimenting with some new curriculum, and we found so really great curriculum that is working very well for both of my older girls. It has been so great to see things click with them this year. And what is even better is that they are actually starting to enjoy what we are doing more and more. I think a big part of the is due to finding curriculum that works well with their needs.

But the number one reason I feel like things are going much better is that we have started to really try and focus on interest lead learning. I have made an effort to make sure that the girls have had some choices on the direction we move into with our topics. It is really amazing how much a child can learn when the are excited about something. So that is something we will defiantly be doing more of in the upcoming school year.

We also had some amazing adventures out in the world. We took a road trip up the East Coast to visit family and make some really great stops along the way. If you would like to see more about that, head on over to our YouTube channel and check out this video:

We had a great year and are ready for the next! How about you?
